Alana and I believe you’ll enjoy this inspirational music from our friend, Harley Cannon. Really neat story here.
Alana has told me, and I've heard him tell many others, how, back-in-the-day he and his brother, Ricky, would go to a 'blind man's' studio to record their music. His favorite part of the story is, "We'd go in and the lights would be off and we'd always run into something. It wasn't until we'd knocked something over that the studio owner would say, 'Oh, I forgot to turn the lights on . . .don't need them myself you know,' to which the guys would always laugh. I've heard that story countless number of times. Alan enjoys telling the story, and you can tell from the expression on his face that the telling brings fond memories.
A few months back I was attending a local monthly networking meeting called Business Luncheon Network (www.blnlex.com) and was telling someone about Alan's in-home studio and a project he was working on. One of the meeting attendees overheard my conversation and handed me his card and said, "Have your husband give me a call, I'd like to talk with him about possibly using his studio."
When I got home I gave Alan the card and said, "Honey, there's a blind man who attends my meeting who gave me his card today and asked you to call him."
Well, I'm sure you've guessed it by now, the 'blind man' in Alan's story of fond memories, and the 'blind man' attending my meeting was the same man. Alan was so excited, not only that he had re-connected with Harley Cannon, but he was delighted by the fact that Harley was interested in possibly using HIS studio.
Ain’t it cool how things work out!
